Jade, Engravements, and a Neptune Sextile

The night before my final day of work, my father called. He didn’t know I was about to close that chapter — I hadn’t told him yet. The next day, I returned his call and spoke generally about feeling tired of jobs that drain my soul. I told him I wanted to have faith — to trust that if I let go of what no longer serves, I’d be guided.
His response was what his generation learned to believe: “You gotta have something, you gotta survive.” Then he added, “I want you to meet a good man.”
In that moment I felt the old pattern — the Libra-Neptune longing for safety through partnership, for life to stay balanced and secure through someone else’s presence. It triggered me, yet days later clarity began to form: he was speaking from his version of love, while my soul was learning a different kind — the kind that trusts guidance from within rather than stability from outside.
The Dream
About five days after that call, I dreamt of jade. A necklace hung heavy against my chest, with a piece large enough to rest in my palm. I placed it in a dish, looking for a safe place to keep it. But when I rinsed the dish, it turned into wood — engraved like a scar on a tree. A name appeared, tied to an old story of betrayal and bitterness, a soul contract once carved into my life.
Jade is protection. Jade is healing. Jade is the heart’s reminder that what was once a wound can become wisdom.
The Alignment
As I pieced this together, I realized how closely it mirrors the astrology of this weekend’s lunar eclipse in Pisces — the Neptune-ruled sign of dreams and spiritual connection — which, in perfect synchronicity, falls on my father’s birthday.
The South Node in Virgo hovers just beyond my Midheaven, asking me to release outdated roles and survival scripts about who I am “supposed” to be.
Even more, I discovered that my father’s Neptune is at 9° Libra — and mine is at 9° Sagittarius, right on my Ascendant. A flowing sextile, not a clash.
His Neptune dreams in Libra: of peace, partnership, and keeping life in balance. Mine dreams in Sagittarius: of freedom, faith, and truth. His words about survival and relationships came from his Neptune lens; my vision of trusting the unseen flows from mine.
The jade in my dream, the scar in the wood, the eclipse above, my father’s call, and the fact that this eclipse marks his birthday all converge into one clear truth: I am here to honor the love and protective intent behind his need for safety through others — yet to live that safety as faith and guidance within myself.

I trust the guidance of my own soul, even when the world calls it risky.
