🎧 Music moves energy. These song reflection posts explore how certain songs move me — emotionally, spiritually, and soulfully.

Let’s go deeper . . .

It's you,

Only you can be,

Everything to me,

Only you

And how I've tried,

To deny or hide,

Put away my pride,

Only you

I'll repeat this phrase,

Through all my days,

With my last breath,

Only you

I'll repeat this phrase,

Through all my days,

With my last breath,

Only you

Only you (x8)

And it shows,

Because my heart beats so,

I will always know,

Only you

Beautiful,

So beautiful,

All is love is full,

Only you

I'll repeat this phrase,

Through all my days,

With my last breath,

Only you

I'll repeat this phrase,

Through all my days,

With my last breath,

Only you

Only you (x8)

SONG REFLECTION:

A Love Letter to the Voice Within

“It’s you,

Only you can be,

Everything to me—

Only you.”

At first listen, this song could be mistaken for a classic love ballad—an ode to someone else, a partner, a soulmate. But for me, it’s something entirely different.

This isn’t about a person outside of me.

This is about the voice within.

The quiet one. The steady one.

The one I ignored, doubted, abandoned—and then, found again.

This song is about God.

Not the kind bound by religion, doctrine, or shame.

I’ve never been religious.

But I’ve always been spiritual—even before I had the language for it.

Even as a child, I felt the whispers . . . the subtle pull . . .

The knowing that something sacred was moving within me.

“And how I’ve tried,

To deny or hide,

Put away my pride—

Only you.”

So many times, I tried to silence that voice.

Tried to force logic, chase validation, seek answers in all the wrong places.

But it never gave up on me.

It waited patiently beneath my pride, beneath my fear, beneath my wounds.

And when I finally fell apart—raw, humbled, broken open—it was there.

Still.

Loving.

Present.

“I’ll repeat this phrase,

Through all my days,

With my last breath—

Only you.”

Now, every time I hear this song, it brings me back to that presence.

To the soul-deep love that’s guided me through every breakdown and breakthrough.

To the voice that has never lied to me.

This reflection is a tribute to trusting my intuition,

to returning home to my inner truth,

to choosing faith in something far bigger than the world’s chaos.

So when I say “Only You,”

I’m speaking to the Divine within.

To the quiet clarity.

To the Love that doesn’t need a name—

just recognition.

Because in the end,

“It shows,

Because my heart beats so,

I will always know—

Only You.”
