The Beauty in the Break

It was not until I broke—more than once—that I began to understand how vital emotional security truly is. It is not just a luxury; it is the soil where love can take root and thrive. Yet, when you have grown up without it, knowing how to cultivate it can feel impossible—like trying to draw a map of a place you have never been.
Emotional security is the quiet cornerstone of a healthy relationship; a sanctuary I never knew to seek until life broke me open. It was through those fractures that light poured in, illuminating a truth I had not understood.
Growing up, emotional security was a foreign concept. What happens when your childhood was a balancing act on fragile ground . . . when you were the child who parented the parents, a mediator in the storms, a silent observer of every trigger???
You learn to tiptoe through emotional landmines. There is no room for vulnerability, no space to feel safe, and speak your truth. Every thought, every feeling, is muted to avoid stirring the already volatile air.

Breaking IS the beginning.
Through the cracks, I have found light, resilience, and a deeper understanding of what I deserve and need.
Emotional security is not just important—it is essential.
It is the quiet promise that love does not have to hurt, that it can be a safe harbor in a world that so often feels unkind.
Emotional security is a two-way street—just as a woman needs it from her man, a man needs it from his woman. It is about MUTUAL support, trust, and reassurance that strengthens the relationship.
