This Realm Is Material. You Aren’t.

Every December, the material realm gets loud.

Sales. Flash deals. Family pressure. Performative generosity.

Be a “good person,” but don’t forget to spend, spend, spend.

It’s the perfect time to remember something most people never question:

This realm is material. You aren’t.

You chose an Earth body. You chose gravity, bills, time, aging, limits.

Not as punishment — as curriculum.

The problem isn’t the system itself.

The problem is what happens when you forget who you are inside of it.

This realm is a system, not a god

Money, corporations, algorithms, institutions, capitalism — they’re all systems.

They’re not holy. They’re not evil.

They’re containers.

Capricorn understands this. Saturn understands this.

Structure is how energy becomes real.

Bank accounts. Contracts. Calendars. Boundaries. Schedules. Pricing.

Without structure, your soul’s intentions just float around as vibes.

Spiritual people get stuck in two traps here:

  1. Reject the system entirely.

“Money is bad. Marketing is fake. Jobs are selling out. I’m too spiritual for this.”

Translation: “I’m scared, so I’ll call avoidance enlightenment.”

  2. Merge with the system and call it safety.

“My worth is my productivity. My value is my salary. My identity is my role.”

Translation: “If I become the system, maybe it won’t eat me.”

Both are distortions.

You’re not here to bow to the system or burn it down from your couch.

You’re here to use it in alignment with your soul.

Purgatory is when you forget why you’re here

Purgatory isn’t a place underground.

It’s the feeling of circling the same loop:

Work → Numb → Spend → Regret → Repeat.

Control → Collapse → Shame → Try harder → Repeat.

Perform → Resent → Abandon self → Start over → Repeat.

You’re not dead, but you’re not alive.

You’re just maintaining.

That’s material purgatory:

  • Your body is here.

  • Your soul is muffled.

  • Your strategy is survival, not creation.

And this is what happens when you let the system run you instead of you running it.

Capricorn medicine: strategic, not sold out

Capricorn season is Saturn knocking on the door like:

“Show me your structure. Does it serve your soul, or your fear?”

Capricorn isn’t about becoming a cold work robot.

At its highest, Capricorn is sacred strategy:

  • Using money as a tool, not a scoreboard.

  • Saying no to misaligned obligations, even if it disappoints people.

  • Building routines that protect your nervous system, not just your to-do list.

  • Choosing where you give your time instead of letting guilt schedule your life.

Spirituality without structure is fantasy.

Structure without soul is a cage.

Capricorn asks you to marry the two:

Divine intention + grounded action.

That’s not selling out. That’s mastery.

So, how do you “use the system” without getting stuck?

A few questions to ask yourself this week:

  • Where am I demonizing the material realm because I’m afraid to engage with it?

(Money, visibility, charging for my work, asking for what I need…)

  • Where am I allowing the system to define my worth?

    (Productivity, followers, income, titles…)

  • What structures actually protect my soul?

(Rituals, boundaries, budgeting, time blocks, rest…)

  • If this realm is my training ground, what am I being trained for?

(More honesty? More courage? More leadership? More creativity?)

You don’t have to “love” capitalism to learn how to navigate it consciously.

You don’t have to worship money to become a good steward of it.

You’re allowed to:

  • Be strategic with your work.

  • Charge for your gifts.

  • Understand marketing.

  • Use the algorithms.

  • Build something stable…

without letting any of it own your soul.

This realm is material.

Your essence is not.

Play the game.

Set your boundaries.

Build what your soul came here to build.

Just don’t mistake the game for God.
