A cosmic reflection on the Sun’s passage through Ophiuchus and the awakening of the waters.

There are moments when the sky seems to breathe with us—when what has been hidden beneath the skin of time begins to rise through the waters, whispering, “Remember.”
The Light Returns to the Hidden Sign
At the end of each year, the Sun slips past the Archer’s arrow and crosses an invisible threshold into Ophiuchus, the Serpent Bearer—the thirteenth constellation quietly bridging Scorpio and Sagittarius.
Most calendars stop at twelve, but in the real sky, from late November through mid-December, the Sun illuminates this forgotten realm—the space between death and revelation, between power and faith.
And this year, that illumination comes as the heavens continue to sing in water.
Since early autumn, a Grand Water Trine has been moving like an underground river through the collective field—
first ignited when Mars entered Scorpio, stirring deep emotion into motion,
then softened as Venus followed, teaching the heart to open where it once closed,
and finally given voice through Mercury, whose retrograde journey through Scorpio began in October, circled back, and now returns to translate what the soul has felt but never spoken.
It’s as though the cosmos itself has been whispering in waves:
first action, then love, then understanding.
Fire plunged into water, water remembered its warmth, and now the current speaks.
The Collective Undercurrent
Earlier this year, the interstellar traveler 3I Atlas disappeared behind the Sun—hidden, transfiguring.
Now, as it re-emerges and the Sun lights the Serpent Bearer, the cosmos echoes the same teaching:
what vanishes into light is never lost—it’s reborn.
We’ve each been that interstellar traveler: unseen while changing form.
And as this Trine hums across the water signs,
emotion becomes the teacher,
silence becomes gestation,
and surrender becomes creation.
The Medicine of Ophiuchus
Ophiuchus carries the serpent, not to conquer it, but to hold it—
to learn its language of regeneration.
He stands where Scorpio’s death meets Sagittarius’s revelation,
reminding us that the true healer doesn’t rise above the wound;
the healer descends into it and brings the light through.
His omission from the zodiac was no accident.
Empires couldn’t contain the truth he embodied:
that the divine isn’t reached through hierarchy or temple,
but through the spiral within our own DNA,
through the rivers of feeling pulsing beneath our skin.
So when the Sun shines through this constellation,
we’re invited to do the same—
to hold the serpent instead of fearing it,
to let the pain teach,
to let dissolution reveal design.
The Waters Remember
The Water Trine has been the silent music beneath our transformations.
It began with movement, was softened by love, and is now finding language through reflection.
It’s as if the emotional body of humanity is being baptized in its own remembering—
a collective cleansing born not from prophecy but from participation.
The serpent moves through those waters,
restoring the circuitry between heart and heaven.
We are not waiting for saviors.
We are remembering the codes that already live inside us.
The spiral, the serpent, the song—all of it is home.
The Invitation
During this passage of the Sun through Ophiuchus, notice what rises:
dreams that ache, emotions long buried, intuitive whispers that feel ancient.
Write them down. Move them. Sing them.
Let the waters speak.
And remember—
Ophiuchus was never truly lost.
We simply stopped looking where the serpent lives.
Closing Reflection
When the serpent awakens, the waters remember.
When the waters remember, humanity heals.
The thirteenth sign isn’t an addition; it’s a return—the missing bridge that brings heaven back through the body.
