ADHD – A Label or a Soul Signal?

This is part three of my Virgo Season Detox series — a 6-part journey to expose the shadows of Virgo energy (control, perfectionism, false fixes) and release them into Pisces wisdom (surrender, wholeness, and light). In part one, we looked at “smart glasses” and how technology marketed as progress actually disconnects us from our soul. In part two, we explored the boom of weight-loss injections and the illusion of shortcut healing. Today, we turn to the ADHD craze — and what it may really mean beneath the surface.

We’re in eclipse season on the Virgo–Pisces axis. The South Node in Virgo pulls us into shadow: over-labeling, over-diagnosing, trying to perfect what can’t be boxed in. Pisces whispers the opposite: you are not a label. You are a soul. You are infinite expression beyond categories.

Which brings me to the ADHD phenomenon. Suddenly, everyone says they “have” it. Social feeds glamorize it. Doctors prescribe for it. And while the intention may be to help, I have to say it: we’re missing the point.

If your mind is scattered, if you struggle to focus, if you can’t sit still — does that mean you’re broken? Or could it mean your soul is screaming for something deeper?

Here’s the irony: ADHD has become a catch-all. Instead of asking why people are overwhelmed, distracted, or unable to focus in this overstimulated society, we slap on a label. Neat. Contained. Managed. And then the “solution” is stimulants — drugs that rev the nervous system, mask symptoms, and literally distract us from truth. How ironic is that?

The deeper meaning of distraction is worth sitting with. Scattered attention can be a sign that your spirit is craving depth. That your energy doesn’t align with a system built on constant noise, screens, and artificial demands. That your body is saying: this isn’t what I came here for. But instead of listening, we medicate. We numb. We control.

This isn’t about denying people support. It’s about refusing to outsource your identity to a diagnosis. You are not your label. You are not broken. You are not a disorder.

So I’ll leave you with this: where in your life are you labeling yourself instead of listening to your soul? What if your distraction, your restlessness, your inability to “focus” isn’t a defect — but a signal? A call back to alignment, presence, and truth?

Virgo wants to categorize. Pisces wants to dissolve categories. And somewhere in that release, you’ll find freedom.

This was part three of Virgo Season Detox. In the next post, we’ll get raw about drugs — from weed and cocaine to fentanyl and even the so-called “plant medicines” like kratom — and why both the medical industry and society keep missing the real root cause beneath it all.

I’m grateful you chose to spend a few moments here with me. If this sparked reflection, let me feel your presence — comment, tap the heart, or pass it on to someone you love. Together, we’re harvesting health at the root.

Guided by love and light,

Karen Di Gloria ✨
